The Playhouse’s environmental policy is designed so that our activity causes the minimum possible negative impact on the environment through:

• Using only organic foodstuffs, where possibly fair trade and/or locally sourced
• Using biodegradable disposable nappies and wipes. Have a look at http://www.crianzanatural.com/fam/fam11.html if you are interested in using them at home too.
• Using only biodegradable, natural cleaning products in the centre
• Using low energy lightbulbs
• Recycling waste
• Encouraging parents to use public transport or bicycles to get to the centre

And, most importantly, teaching the children to respect the environment through participation in recycling, helping to grow the plants on the terrace, observing the weather, feeding and observing the nursery pets and so on.
